Women in STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) is a club on Vincennes University’s campus focused on helping female science, technology, engineering and math majors get ready to enter the workforce while being a minority in their field of study.

On Wednesday, Oct. 23 and Thursday, Oct. 24 the Vincennes University Shake Library hosted an escape room that was free to all VU students. Many students formed groups of up to eight people to try and score the best time. The fastest group received a free pass to Vincennes Escape Adventures.

The Banquet of Africa is one of Vincennes University’s traditional celebrations for the international population according to Zhe Ji, director of International Student Affairs. The banquet featured two students, Selam Kelil and Mothusi Dlamini, who each presented cultures from their respective countries in Africa: Ethiopia and Swaziland.

Students reflect on Explore Japan 2018

Over the summer, several students were given the chance to stay in Japan from May 16-31. The Trailblazer was able to attend a presentation given by Yoshiko Cockerham, Japanese Language and History professor, and her students. During this presentation, they described their experiences in Japan to give other Vincennes University students and faculty a better understanding of what their annual trip entails.
