The annual Car Meet, hosted by the Vincennes University Auto Mechanics Club, is a way for members of the campus community to connect with one other, and fellow car lovers, too.
Classic cars come to the Vincennes campus each year from several cities and counties surrounding Knox county, according to Auto Club Director Kerry Thomas.
The Car Meet started 32 years ago with a different organization, car lovers showing off their fully-restored unique cars and others they were working on at the time. Now the Car Meet is organized each year by the Auto Club; this will mark their 20th year hosting the show.
The Car Meet allows not only students and faculty to show off their own classic cars, but car lovers from the entire community and region, too.
The Car Meet will be held in the parking lot of the Auto Mechanics Club in the 1200 block of Chestnut Street in Vincennes, which is right next to next to the P.E. Complex.
The car show will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 21.
Anyone can register to be a part of the car show; the fee is $20 per car.
Day-of registration is available but will end at noon, which is when the judging starts.
Food and drinks will be provided, and dash plaques will be given to the first 100 car owners who register.
