Jenna Simmons, the owner of Jenna’s Bakehouse spoke with The Trailblazer about her delicious bakery on Main Street in downtown Vincennes. 

Jenna’s Bakehouse has been locally owned by Simmons for three years. Simmons mentioned Main Street was her ideal place to start and it ended up feeling like home. She also mentioned the amazing support system, and the friendly business that surrounds her on Main Street.  

Jenna’s Bakehouse serves several different mouth-watering treats, such as  pastries, cookies, cakes, and more. 

 “I do a lot of specialty gourmet cupcakes and then we do gourmet brownies and cookies as well for retail and in terms of other things that we offer we used to do birthdays but now we’re transitioning more so to weddings…,” Simmons stated. 

Are you wondering what dessert you should pick next time you visit Jenna’s Bakehouse? Simmons discussed the hottest selling desserts in the bake house. Simmons mentioned the one number dessert that guaranteed sells out daily is the wedding cake cupcake.  They also have delicious everyday freshly baked cookies with all types of flavors and designs. 

Simmons stated, “All the flavors of cookies always sell, we never have any issues getting rid of cookies, and you can always count on them being baked fresh everyday because we sell out of them everyday.” 

Simmons loves the original sugar cookie, she says “I’m obsessed,  I’m a sugar cookie person in general but that is something like it’s my favorite thing to eat but also easy to make, and easy for me to pick up for me to eat too….”

  Those of you who are gluten free may be wondering, are there gluten free desserts at Jenna’s Bakehouse? Simmons mentioned there wasn’t necessarily a gluten free item, but the cupcakes and monster cookies are gluten friendly.
