Vincennes University will wrap up the month of October this week with a series of spooky events, offering fun and thrills for all to enjoy.
- Ongoing at Vigo Hall on the 2nd floor in the media space, there will be a Door Decorating Contest. Students are encouraged to decorate their doors with fall or Halloween decorations. The winner will be announced on Oct. 30
- From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 28 at the Intramural Fields, there will be a movie night and pumpkin painting event. The featured film will be Halloweentown and free drinks and popcorn will be offered to students. If weather conditions are bad the event will be moved to the Jefferson Student Union (JSU) building
- From 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Oct. 29 at JSU there is a Day of the Dead Celebration. Students can come and decorate cookies, write messages, and remember loved ones.
- From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Oct. 30 at Vigo Hall on the 2nd floor in the media space there will be a costume contest. Students are encouraged to wear their best costumes to compete with their fellow hall mates.
- Shake Library until Oct. 31 is hosting a Library Murder Mystery. Students can stop by the information desk and ask to view the crime scene and receive a copy of the evidence then put their brains to the test. Students can participate solo or with friends.
On Oct. 31 (Halloween) VU will host a variety of events for students
- From 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Summers Center, there will be a Trick or Treat Meet and Greet for students to visit with faculty to learn about majors in Social Science, Performing Arts, and Communication.
- From 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the JSU there will be a Monster Mash there will be costume awards, food, and great prizes for all who attend.
- From 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ebner Hall, there will be a Halloween Social. Ebner residents will be able to get snacks and discuss their favorite spooky shows
