The Vincennes University Career Center is hosting an Internship Fair/Survey on Thursday.
The Internship Fair event will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Jefferson Student Union. This event provides students with opportunities for internships and employment after graduation.
Representatives from various companies will attend this event; highlighted companies include the French Lick Resort, Caterpillar, Knox County Prosecutor’s Office, Fastenal, and True RX as well as other farm and ag companies.
Director of Career Services Trenton Lee said, “Students who are interested in applying for an internship can never be too prepared, so showing up professionally dressed with a resume can help a lot.”
Lee also said the Career Center is willing to help review and refine students’ resumes.
Students are encouraged to attend, so they can explore different career options, create connections with the representatives there, and even get some swag after the event.
Lee said he believes this event will be successful for the students and companies that will attend.
After the Internship Fair, a survey will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the second floor of the Jefferson Student Union. This event is an opportunity for students graduating from the survey program to showcase their projects. It also allows the companies who registered for the event to be able to view students’ work and be able to ask questions.
Lee said, “The biggest thing I want to focus on in this department is creating more internship opportunities for students so they won’t miss out.”
