The university’s college deans last week hosted their annual Weenies on the Wabash event, giving students an opportunity to connect with their professors, and one another, outside the classroom.
Weenies on the Wabash, held at Kimmell Park on the banks of the Wabash River, takes place at the beginning of the fall semester to help students get to know one another as well as their instructors and other university administrators and staff.
University faculty serve up hot dogs, chips and sweet snacks, and there is plenty of music for dancing, too. To keep students entertained, the event also features a variety of games and activities, from cornhole to life-size Jenga and even Tic Tac Toe.
Every student, too, received a ticket and was entered into a drawing for prizes that items like water bottles, coffee mugs and even a new lap desk.
