The Vincennes University Career Center invites students to explore career opportunities at the upcoming Homeland Security & Public Safety Career Fair.
The event will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Tuesday in the Homeland Security building. It’s open to all students interested in careers in law enforcement, emergency management, cybersecurity, and other public safety fields.
This career fair provides students with a chance to meet with employers, ask questions, and learn more about various career paths.
Attendees will have the opportunity to network with representatives from a variety of companies and organizations, including the Knox County Sheriff’s Department, Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office, Good Samaritan Hospital, Gibson County Sheriff’s Office, Wabash Valley Correctional Facility, Indiana Army National Guard, and Indiana State Police.
Trenton Lee, director of career services, said all students are welcome to attend, whether nearing graduation or just starting the program. He called it an opportunity to network with future employers.
Lee said, “I always suggest students who are wishing to attend bring a few copies of their resumes to hand to prospective employers.”
Whether students are actively seeking a job or just curious about future career possibilities, this event provides insight into the fields of homeland security and public safety, he said.
