The public and media are invited to view the eclipse on the Vincennes Campus. Free parking will be available from noon to 5 p.m. Monday in lots on Red Skelton Boulevard, along the west side of Oliphant Drive, and adjacent to Kimmell Park.
Kimmell Park itself will be pedestrian-only, with the exception of vehicles with boats using the public access site. Public and portable restrooms will be available at each location.
Most VU buildings will not be open to the public.
Vincennes is on the Path of Totality, with the longest darkness available in the state of Indiana at more than four minutes. The Solar Eclipse will begin around 2 p.m. with totality beginning at 3:02 p.m. The eclipse ends at 4:20 p.m.
A variety of events will be held for the public on Patrick Henry Square downtown.
